All FAQs What kind of photocopier does a school need?
Size it for exam season, not a normal week.
A school with 400 students, 10 subjects, and 4-page papers needs about 16,000 pages per exam period. A 60-page-per-minute machine finishes in about 4.5 hours, a 40-page-per-minute machine in about 6.7 hours.
Add PIN printing so papers aren't left in the machine.
Is 40 or 60 pages per minute enough?
If exam papers total under about 10,000 pages per period, 40 pages per minute is enough (about 4 hours of printing). Above that, choose a 60-page-per-minute machine such as the Kyocera MA6000ifx.
How do exam papers stay secure when printed?
Use PIN printing.
The teacher sets a PIN when printing from a laptop, and the paper only comes out after the same PIN is entered on the machine.
It's built into the MA6000ifx and Kyocera A3 machines; the MA4000x needs an add-on SD card.
Can we add a machine just for exam season?
Yes, ASG has an extra 2 to 4 week rental package for school exam season, toner included.
Can payments follow the school's budget cycle?
Yes, ASG agrees the payment schedule for school printer rental with you to fit the school's budget cycle.
We're an international school. Can quotes and invoices be in English?
Yes, ASG's printer rental quotes are in English by default. Invoices in English are available on request, and contracts are bilingual.
